Chippy, I hate to speak ill of a saved brethren but clearly you have wimpy faith if you feel the need to indulge in apologetics. Strobel et. al. is just for the Christians losing their faith.
Faith is the conviction of things without any evidence, on the basis of the testimony of the Holy Spirit. We don't require evidence or logic. The hellbound heathens can be smug about such things but we who are saved have wisdom that comes from the grace of the Lord.
Yes, the Bible contradicts itself but this only shows the power of our Lord. Jesus was born before 4 BC and after 6 AD at the same time. He is everywhere and capable of being two contradictory things at once. That's why contradictions don't matter.
What does time mean to our Lord. He can create animals before and after creating man at the same time. He can also make round squares and straight curves.
