The bible was ALWAYS meant to be taken literally; why do you think the last 2000 years of its existence, its passages HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FOLLOWED TO THE LETTER? 2000 years later you come along and somehow know what the originators and original worshipers themselves did NOT? How do you figure?
