Then what do atheists fear?

Poverty (I'm not wealthy but I'm not poor either), incurable illness, loss of friends and most particularly of family (children) and death generally (at least I do ... not so much the idea of dying just the not being any more) are some ... of course I'm not so concerned about dying so much as no longer being. My greatest fear I suppose, linked to the idea of death/no longer being) is loss of my ability to think, to evaluate, to be objective.

Of course, as theists, this won't concern you as much because you believe in things without evidence so you're already one step closer to insanity and brain death
