I've always liked the idea of towing an iceberg from the arctic .The idea has actually been seriously proposed by sane people..
I live in driest state in the driest continent. In Summer our water often turns brown. Rainwater tanks and bottled water are very popular.
But rail is just dandy. In 2000 I traveled from Loch Ness to Cambridge in ten hours. There was a bit of waiting time in Inverness,Edinburgh and London.
(Loch Ness to Inverness is a beautiful 45 minute bus trip)
