No you see it doesn't say "potter's clay" but only says "clay" in arabic... the thing is that YOU inserted the "potter's" part in English... this verse can mean that life came from the dirt or soil in this planet, and scientists discover that the soil on the ground DOES have many ingredients for life. So the Quran is right.

Sorry. But my quran said "potters clay (refined)" just like that. I cant read the original text so I couldnt make a difference on it and had to rely on the translation.

There is another verse in the Quran that says life came from dust and scientists discover that there are organic elements in the dust in space... like in asteroids.

But they say that they are in Comets and that life came about through comets smashing into the earth, therefore creating the tremendous energy required to turn C, H, and N into basic RNA blocks. Its not comparable to the quran because they claim the process didnt need a god or guidance. According to the quran, Allah shaped clay into human form and commanded the angels to bow to it. Iblis refused and was therefore cursed.

"O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength." (Surah 22:04)

The Quran is right again.

Well, some would say that some of this imagery would be obvious to anyone who saw a miscarriage, as it sometimes will resemble a "clot" or "morsel of flesh". some might even argue the entire verse might be about the subject of miscarriages (I know that I used to).

But we know the quran is scientific.

No, the quran isnt evil. I feel the words "good" and "evil" are so heavily watered down by an individuals opinion that both words are completely worthless. The quran is a book, for what its worth, of how some people thought things should be run and how they thought life came about.
