Your emotions are often the automatic response according to your most deeply held beliefs. Controlling them doesn't mean curbing them. If you are denying your emotions, you are devaluing the beliefs you live by. I think you should be offended - very much so. What you do with that feeling is another matter. Often I find it best to return in kind.
I didn't say it was a bad thing. I just said I don't get offended and I want to know how alone I am. I honestly don't get any of those emotions.
Not sure how that is devaluing my beliefs...if anything, I'm devaluing theirs.
