I don't think it's fair to call my beliefs dishonest in any way. I fully understand that my beliefs are beliefs and keep them there.
I've always liked the idea that there's something bigger than all of us, something humanity cannot hope to understand. I believe because I like the idea of god. It's a fascinating concept.
Intellectually dishonesty is not dishonesty in the traditional sense, so there is no offense meant by it. Believing something, simply because you wish it were true, is a form of dishonesty with oneself. I like the idea of Elves and Wizards, but that doesn't mean I can go around believing that they exist. I mean... I could... but then I'd be insane.
