They haven't got it wrong, in face, think of all the grace abound when they praise and worship to the limits of their understanding and ability to do so.
At what point will God get annoyed at the misinterpretation of the bible? 2 babies? 10 babies? 100 babies? All the babies?
Curious world view.. basically as long as you are using the bible as justification, you are never wrong, because you tried your best within the "limits of our understanding and ablity", no matter what atrocities you justify with it.
