I don't think Obama opposes gay marriage. I think he opposes not getting enough votes. Hot button subjects will be dealt with as carefully as possible in an attempt to avoid alienating either side of a particular fence. That's how politics works. Unless you are Joe Biden. Then you just say the first thing that pops into your head. It's very nearly honesty. Heheh!

I think that if Obama (certainly Biden) could make an executive decision that would not have political fallout... He would make marriage officially between two people... regardless of gender.
