Those of us who don't think it's reasonable have a few words for it: Bigotry and prejudice.
Isn't that what you all are doing to christians?
I'm not speaking for anyone but myself.
No, I'm doing it to you because you're obnoxious. If you came in here and behaved as you have been, and were an atheist, you'd still get a lot of crap. It's happened before.
You are not being oppressed for your beliefs. You're being criticized for your individual behavior. Let's look at your statement that I quoted as a sterling example. "Isn't that what you all are doing...". No, in fact it is not what we all are doing. Like, for example.... me. I haven't said one nasty thing to you, or about you, based on the fact you identify as a Christian. Rather, any uncomplimentary things I have said are based on my observation that you're acting like a jerk, in more ways than I care to count. Furthermore, even though I observe you acting like a jerk, I don't conclude from that observations that all Christians must be just like you. Because they aren't, and we aren't. One of us fails to grasp that, and it isn't me.
I happen to have quite a large number of theists in my circle, and I'm quite fond of them. I find some of their beliefs odd, but that's just me. I suspect that they find mine quaint as well. You on the other hand, well, it isn't your faith that is offensive, it's something else entirely. Let's see if you can figure out what it is.
