Very little is invented whole cloth and we can establish just by reading the Bible alone that it is invented, not reported.
I'm not arguing against anything offered by those more knowledgeable about ancient mythology and pagan beliefs. I'm just saying when I argue against the supposed godman Jesus, I'm going to stay on more secure ground that I'm familiar with.
