"Evolution" doesn't give a shit about anything either way Dee. "Morality", however, confers a survival advantage for social species. Of which we are only a single representative. You and I get our "morality" from the same place. I'm just not interested in telling tall tales about it.
On the other hand, if we were better served by stabbing everything that moved (including each other) how much would you like to bet that stabbing things preemptively would be what we considered a "lofty moral ideal"? Don't I always hear how beneficial the morality described in the bible would be for us (if we all just swallowed the koolaid)? If it wasn't, would you still think it was a good idea?
