Anything that would provide a man with actual evidence of its existence would be just too simple and direct. **facepalm**
Signs and wonders/miracles are proof that you do not understand what you have seen. That is it.
First we are to have faith and develop a relationship with God, then we get to see God working directly in our lives. These would be considered to be a sign or a wonder by someone who do not know God, but for the believe it is considered to be the hand of God. Not a "miracle."
