I did not say gays should not have rights, I do not believe they should be able to marry, they have all the rights the rest of us do, except for marriage and the few things that would go along with that.

Except here's the basic issue: marriage is a social right that predates Christianity by quite a lot. You don't have a monopoly on marriage, and your religion has no right to say who can and cannot marry. It's as simple as that. Let's look at what you just said from another perspective, shall we?

See how changing just a few words points out the utter ridiculousness of your argument? Voting and marriage have in common that they're both social rights that are independent of your religion; they both also predate Christianity by a huge margin.

What you did with my statement takes over half the population out of voting. That's not even reasonable to compare with what I said. Let's set something straight, I'm against gay marriage, because it is against the nature of God's idea of marriage.
Marriage does not predate God it is an institution He made, and if you will carefully read Genesis you will see that gays were not included, and were actually punished.

Why would my concern for the unemployed make me dense, there are many who need to provide for their families, our government needs to concentrate on real problems that effect the many, this would include the gays that are unemployed as well.

Uh, I don't know, perhaps because unemployment has fuck all to do with gay marriage?

Unemployment is a far greater need to deal with, families all across this country need jobs to live, gays do not need marriage to live. Of course you would rather see anything that goes against God's righteousness made law, than to see people who need help get it, now that is what I call truly heartless.
