Philosophy is the study of fundamental problems of reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language, not how the study is done. Science therefore is most certainly a philosophy. The fact that these things have been studied using techniques different from science, and the scientific method has demonstrated a pragmatic potency unparalleled by those earlier methods, doesn't change the fact that science is still a philopsphy, just as the fact that Cars may have superceded horse and buggy does not change the fact that car is a vehicle just likethe buggy. The fact that you hate the word philosophy doesn't mean you can redefine it and force the definition on everyone else.
