Where Muslims are outnumbered and outgunned by non-Muslims, there is plenty of warmth and kindness towards non-Muslims. For this reason, I can understand why you arrived at the conclusion you did. I think that behind closed doors, Muslim parents are shoving the religion down children's throats. I visited mosques and saw an Imam shouting "Read your Koran!" to a young child like a madman on crack. I visited mosques a number of times during my days of "deconversion" to learn more about religion. I asked many questions and the answers always had disturbing implications (different mosques tended to have immigrants from different countries), especially when I asked why the women were fully covered, separated during prayer, and not being openly social like the men.
You mentioned ratios for behaviors by Muslims and Christians. Think about this. What percent of Muslims believe in evolution and what percent of Christians do? What percentage of Muslims literally believe Hell has fire and what percent of Christians do? The criteria used to label Christians "fundamentalists" (Old Earth, Hell fires, etc.) applies to the overwhelming majority to Muslims I ever met.
