Natural disasters are going to increase and become more violent as we fuck up our environment. Pupping out tons of toxic gas into the air, destroying forests and causing warmer climates will cause nasty weather.
And wars is just the side of us that stems from our immaturity. The world isn't going to end any time soon.
No life will not end anytime soon. But we do have nuts with nukes and as Hitchens rightfully put it "the parties of god" have their hands on weapons that can knock us back into the stone age.
