Unlike some Christians who really fear and despise Atheists, I just pity those 'Bible Believing' Christians.
Don't get me wrong, I take a South-Parkian view on stuff like this. I think everything should be fair game.
What I really don't like are people who want to make special exceptions--from American Christians, it's usually something like, "We're a Christian nation! Think of the children!" blah blah blah. With American non-Christians, it's usually something like, "No, they're a special culture that has a recent/ancient history of being victims! Think of their feelings!"
I just think it's bullshit. And it's obviously bullshit, because the only people they ever call out on it are the people they don't like--hence the failure of the Feelings Police to condemn the atheists here who say things like "x-tian fucktard" and "you know full well what sort of ingorant fucktards you all really are." Because they don't care about that. They're just looking to score points against Christianity, so they rail against Christianity; the most convenient weapon for this news story was the 'you can't offend peoples' religious beliefs!!!!!!!' line.
