And who should determine what is a "livable wage"? You? Because if a wage truly isn't "livable", then either no one will work at that job or people will need to work at multiple jobs. Which I have done in my life.

"Give"? Since when do employers "give" anything? They provide their employees with what has been earned. And what they earn is proportional to what they produce. Do you expect an employer to pay $20 an hour when the employee produces work that is worth $10 an hour?
But let's go along with what you're saying.... We can "give" all workers a bare bones living space with no electricity or plumbing. They can get scraps of food that are deemed inedible by the higher classes and they will work from dawn to dusk with no holidays, vacations, sick days or time off. Oh, and they'll also get no paycheck. After all, this is what a "biblical slave" would be entitled to. Right?
