Well God certainly thought a town with men, women, children and Lots wife in it needed to be destroyed.

So you know God's thoughts now? Do you often claim to know the thoughts of a character you don't believe in?

Thoughts tend to dictate actions. According to the Bible God destroyed the town of Soddom. Now call me old fashioned but that would tend to indicate that he wanted to do that... unless of course you're saying Gods basically a bumbling, inept, celestial toddler with no self-control.
If not I think you should stop sidetracking and answer the question.

Why would God destroy an entire town and some poor bastards wife then not long after allow said bastard that God got out of town to be boozed up and raped by his own daughters?
