Correction, because "we" say so. Unless you'd like to implement scapegoating into U.S. law. My personal beliefs have jack shit to do with our concept of justice. I wasn't there when the laws were written, and I don't always agree. In this case I do, and I bet you do as well.....-until- your god is invoked.
