Then you really don't get it. Islam isn't so much a choice. It's a requirement in these countries.
I really am appalled at what you're repeatedly saying DLF. If the topic was homosexuality you'd be an ex member by now.
Well homosexuality and muslims are two completely different things. Of course I support homosexuality, gender reassignment, and whatever else anyone wants to do with that issue.
I see a lot of problems with this. First problem is that some of you again aren't Americans so you are playing off the attacks on American soil because it didn't happen to your country. As if we should just forgive them or something. I don't know what's up with that. Second of all I find it hypicritical that many of you including myself just run down Christians. I posted the picture of those christians in my town holding up signs and yelling at the cars going by and we made fun of it. So what if I posted pictures of Muslims holding up machine guns with "Kill America" on a billboard behind them. Oh those pictures are out there. Iran is our new best friend haven't you heard? So...for a picture like that then according to most of you to say anything negative would just be horrible "OMG don't put down the Muslims." Newflash: We are atheists..or most of us. Uh...we don't believe in anything. So we "deal" with the stupid annoyances thrown our way by the religions that aren't violent but it's pretty hard to tolerate and support any freedom of expression from Muslims who you never know if they are a radical or not. I mean those Muslims that few planes into the WTC buildings were radicals but no one knew. They were able to get a job flying planes! So..because they are able to "pretend" they aren't radical and hide from the radar doesn't mean they aren't thinking about killing any of us.
People say "Oh they are peaceful I have Muslims in my neighborhood". Yeah..that's because they aren't in a country that tolerates radical islam. Of course they are peaceful because if they weren't some of the citizens would probably almost kill them. If an openly radical islamist moved into my town I believe that someone would shoot them. They aren't stupid they know this. So they keep their mouth shut. I know it's a requirement in those countries. It's fucked up too. So...I'm supposed to feel sorry for them because they have no "choice". No!! They DO have a choice. They can rise up against their government. They might die but someone needs to get the ball rolling to make a change there.
I live with a person who lived in an Islamic country for almost two years. My husband is not a brainwashed military person. He hated the military, hated bush, and believes we are one of the worst countries in the world at the moment. If any of you know what military people are like to speak out against your president and country is just not acceptable behaviour in that line of work. It's very hard to even support the rights of a people who could have killed someone you love. Especially when that person has been so deeply mentally affected that they admit they would go back to Iraq if given the chance just to kill more of them. Apparently that is a very common thing with soldiers. I think the most troubling aspect is that when they see someone who is Muslim in public and they also automcatically think due to their experience with radicals "I need to kill them before they kill me" and then realize where they are and that they are safe. I will NOT support any religoius rights or freedoms of those people. Ever.
