So kill people and God will kill you right back? What a lesson. You don't how any idea how childish your explanation sounds and I find it completely amazing.
I don't feel like looking up the Bible story, but there are two times when men come to rape other men, men that were guests in someone's house. And each time the home owner offers up his daughters to be raped, because raping a guest is evil.
As a woman I cannot understand anyone who tries to justify anything in the Old Testament when it is filled with such outrageous injustice.
The Bible story you were referring to was from Genesis Chapter 19. The Homeowner was Lot, who gave his two virgin daughters up to be raped. This is also the same guy whose wife was turned into a pillar of salt because she turned her head to see how god had destroyed her home towns of Sodom and Gomorrah. And finally, Lot is the same guy who eventually had incestuous relations with his daughters. But hey, they'd already been raped, and their home towns had been destroyed, so what's a little incest gonna hurt?
As a man, I cannot understand anyone justifying the god described in the Old Testament.
Rape, Murder and Incest.. Good stuff, huh?
