History really does repeat itself, yet humans seem to rarely learn form their own past mistakes, let alone from the past mistakes of others. Somehow, people always seem to think that for THEM, it will be different. I've seen people say that so often about America, we are somehow special and exempt from all reality that came before us, or something.
