We know Mitt is a terrible candidate, but there are plenty of similar folk on the democrat side. They're uninformed voters, not just Republican.
Why do you think he's a terrible candidate?
Because despite what you may have heard on the Lush Limbaugh show the middle class drives our economy not the upper 1%. Trickledown economics has been an abysmal failure. The rich have gotten richer and the poor have gotten poorer. Before you start ranting about economic growth and job creation though please take a look at inflation adjusted income growth since 1980. There has been growth there but more than 80% of it went to the upper 10% of the people. That lion’s share of that went to the upper .1%. Middle class incomes have remained relatively static over the same period. Just last month republicans in congress successfully squelched a report issued by the congressional research service that concluded there is no evidence that tax cuts for the wealthy lead to economic growth, plenty of evidence they lead to economic disparities.
You can read the report here.
