Speaking of services to or by greenies, frost resistant cultivars already exist. A hoophouse with no additional heating is more than sufficient to keep the temperature well within the ideal range. Anywhere you can grow summer squash you can grow weed. But you'd probably be better off growing it amongst the okra.....
(and why wouldn't they, the family that this particular herb belongs to also contains hops...and some trees, so there was plenty of material available to tinker with.)
