To begin with, atheism is not a religion.
There are 450,000 churches in the US. There are about 30 major Christian TV networks in the US. Who knows how many Christian radio stations? There are over 3000 Christian schools.
When was the last time an atheist came to your door in an attempt to deconvert you?
Atheists have time on a couple of Public Access cable stations. Some time on a few radio stations. A couple of organizations who's main purpose is to try to keep Church and State separate, not to 'spread atheism'. You came to an atheist forum, we didn't come to you.

The second part of your question, " there is no evidence that God doesn't exist", is completely flawed, as some of us tried to explain to you.
Theists are the ones making the claim that a god exists. It is not up to us to disprove your claim. You are trying to shift the burden of proof, which is a logic 101 FAIL.
To simplify it even further, at its most basic, atheism is the response, "I don't believe your claim that a god exists. Please provide me with demonstrable evidence and reasoned argument to support it".

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
