Though filmed in New York rather than DC, the famous taxi scene in Midnight Cowboy came about in just this way. It was filmed in secret, with a hidden camera, and as Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman started to cross the street a rogue taxi driver ran the light and almost ploughed into them. Hoffman slapped the car and was about to yell out "I'm acting here", but he didn't want to ruin the take so he stayed in character (though lost his accent) and instead yelled out "Hey, I'm walkin' here!" The rest is cinema history.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
