He does. as i said it starts with feelings and matures into direction.

It's been my experience that The Holy Spirit speaks to us the whole time, we just don't know how to listen. It isn't until we learn to follow what God has told us to do, that we learn to hear/listen to the Holy Spirit.

Oh, so I guess we're all "closed minded" and aren't seeing the signs in front of our eyes, right? If I had a nickel...

The real answer is because it's more difficult for them to provide evidence of direct verbal interactions, and easier for them to attribute thoughts they've made up themselves to their super invisible best friend.
