Not mine but I find it a useful principle all the same: "There's no such thing as bad language, only bad people - and they can be bad in any language". Words, by themselves, are harmless. Nobody ever drowned in the word "lake" or was ever shot by the word "gun". What gives words any power they may be perceived to have is the intent behind them. If you are hurt by a simple word like "fuck", in the absence of malicious invective, then I suggest the problem is within you.

Mongerers? To me, this sort of linguistic abuse is far more offensive than anything you're whining about.

Quite right - rather than knocking about with people who aren't afraid to speak their minds, it's so much healthier to restrict your associations to an elitist clique with delusions of grandeur, among others, who fantasise about a sizeable proportion of humanity (ie anyone who isn't them) being deserving of infinite torture. That's not scary or disgusting in the least.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
