I would see a wikileaks party with representation in the Senate as a challenge for both major parties in Australia. Because both major parties at the moment advocate stances such as censoring the internet. Such a political party would be a powerful antidote to the influence that Christian organisations like the Australian Christian Lobby have over our politicians.
However I cant see them being more than an "irritant" for the major parties, let alone being in any government. Julian Assange is seen by many Australians (across the political spectrum) as a hero and him leaking classified US military and diplomatic secrets in fact endears him to his admirers.
