When I was in college I was involved with just about every Christian group I could find. Mainly because there were so many single women in those groups.
We would go on these "retreats". Christians have these camps with bunk houses, dining hall, meeting areas, basketball and volleyball courts, soccer fields etc.
And they would usually have two speakers.
The talks about "sex" were some of the most bizarre talks I've ever been too. They liked to talk about the evils of masturbation. Not sex! Masturbation.. And they suggested ridiculous and bizarre things like holding each other accountable. They said that most guys masturbated in the shower, so we should always shower with the bathroom door open so that we would not be tempted to masturbate..
They really liked the idea of "holding each other accountable". And one guy said that marriage should not be legalized prostitution -- and that was all that it was if you married somebody that you were overly sexually attracted too. I wanted to tell him "NO! It is only legalized prostitution if you marry somebody only for their money!!!" But I bit my tongue. He told the story of his friend breaking up a relationship that he had been in because his friend could see that they were overly physically attracted to each other..
The really crazy thing is that we were assigned beds in bunkhouses. And when I would first get to the camp the bunkhouse would be full of people. But at night there would rarely be more than one or two of us actually sleeping in the bunkhouse. I was told that the other guys were off with their girlfriends. I don't know where... but they certainly weren't in the bunkhouse. But everybody would show up in the morning! At least they weren't masturbating!
I guess that I was one of the losers there because my girlfriends never seemed to be the wild type. Except for one. And I was always the confused Christian guy who was still a "virgin". Hugging without our shirts on and sucking on her nipples wasn't really sex. And cuddling in bed with all of our clothes off wasn't really sex. And hand jobs and blow jobs weren't really "sex"... And oral sex wasn't really "sex"........ And seeing 'how it fix' and maybe pumping a little -- but not reaching orgasm, wasn't really "sex".........
I am just lucky that I didn't get any of those girls pregnant!
