Why isn't anyone talking about the largest item in our national budget: the Defense budget?
The USA is not only the world leader in military spending but we currently spend more than twice the next four nations combined. The Cold War has been over for almost 20 years and yet we're still running in the arms race against the former Soviet Union! You want to talk about out-of-control spending? There you go.
As long as the rich get to keep their tax cuts, the Pentagon gets to keep its bloated Cold War budget and the corporations keep their corporate welfare, the American people do not owe one God damned dime in austerity cuts!
