I was specific about them being Christians who visit this forum, and I said it's rare, not completely absent. When it happens, we respond well. Who'd a thunk it? I'm not one of those atheists who joins a theist forum to have a go at getting them to think critically about their beliefs, and most Christians aren't the Christians who join an atheist forum hoping someone will be reached by their posts.
There's a difference between trying and failing and failing to try. We're not talking about an 'oops, slipped up, sorry about that, my humanity got the best of me'. We're not talking about someone who usually takes an unkind or even unfair jab in good grace, and occasionally shows a bit of temper. We don't expect Christians to be perfectly Christ-like, that would be unreasonble. If they really believe what they're saying, though, it should be evident that they're trying. I'm not sure most of them really believe they should turn the other cheek and love their enemies, though.
I'll give you four stars as a good example of the best of Christianity in comparison to our current Catholic du jour, though.
Catholic du jour mmh i think i see; could be a double agent; a black ops operator. I'm very up to date on current conspiracy theories uno.

The only way you could succeed is to provide us with demonstrable evidence and reasoned argument to support your claim that a god exists.
What else do you think would get us to question our position?
i would suggest that "demonstrable evidence and reasoned argument" was not the primary reason you took up the position you have but the secondary one that has now acquired the status of the first. Did someone give you demonstrable evidence and reasoned argument when you committed yourself to atheism or were you moving in that direction and started looking then for the above? So I would hope to move someone and then maybe they can switch to reverse and gradualy find the subjective evidence that I have been given.
