Wow what an oppressive experience of religion you have suffered A. I'd agree with your summary.

Cheers, I used to get bullied at school on a daily basis because i was a quiet easy target, sometimes i would have a bunch beat me up for fun, I would go home bleeding tattered and torn and then get beaten for "not turning the other cheek and fighting" FIGHTING it was bloody genocide, and they seemed to care more about the condition of the school uniform than me.

But the biggest thing that turned me of was the humiliation i suffered when i asked questions in Sunday School, about animals and "how come they could have kangaroos back then for the ark when Australia was comparatively only newly discovered", and "why did god kill the dinosaurs" and other innocent (11year old) questions like that, i didn't get answers i got abuse and humiliation, which i quickly learned was because the teacher didn't know the answer.

At least I wasn't sexually abused like some kids have been/will be, so I cannot say my treatment was that bad
