Quote:How could this be true if i have openly admitted to be as sinful as anyone here?
Because the believer always follows it up with "I cede, I submit.........so I am saved"
First off there is no such thing as "sin" because there is no invisible man with a pitchfork battling a bearded man over the neurons in your brain.
People do either good or bad, what you call "sin", is merely human behavior. Humans don't like making mistakes in life because others can and do judge us for making mistakes. We also admit that we are not perfect human beings. None of that requires an invisible being to understand.
But you are totally narcissistic by saying "Look at me, I have a super hero who saved me".
Did it ever occur to you that you don't "sin" you just do bad . Did it ever occur to you that you don't need a cosmic prison guard to avoid doing bad things? You think it is a moral concept to live under threat of a dictator in order to avoid doing bad things? I
I bet most the atheists here, at best, might have a speeding ticket, or parking ticket. I also bet very few of the atheists here have any type of felony, much less violent felony.
You are not special. There was no super hero that saved you. You chose yourself to change any bad behaviors you comitted. There are only degrees of bad, some mere mistakes, others all the way up to crime. I think it is more moral to do the right thing when no one is looking, than to only do the right thing because someone is watching.
