Went for a job interview yesterday with Komatsu.( as some might recall I'm a heavy diesel mechanic).
Got the job pretty much on the spot pending a medical tomorrow.
Job consists of flying around the state of WA doing rebuilds on heavy equipment and commissioning new machinery.
Pay will be about 180 to 200k a year.
So yeah..... it was a pretty good day.

And a little bit of back history.......
I have a motorcycling buddy who works for Komatsu and it was he who led the ride down to Pemberton I went on a few weeks ago.
As it happens two of the guys who also went on the run are big bosses at KM. We all had a jolly old time and I mentioned I was still interested in working there( I had just missed out on a position in Nov.)
Then I get a call last week saying come in, we have a job for you.
It's nice to have important friends

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.
