The Eastern Orthodox church made similar claims - in fact, they still do. They claim that Isaiah 7:14 originally said "virgin" in the Hebrew, and despite the fact that we have an extant and complete pre-Christ Isaiah Scroll that has exactly the same wording as the Massoretic Text, they still claim the Massorites intentionally modified it! We know that Biblical texts were diligently preserved, to claim otherwise is total insanity. But then Islam is based on the fact that the Bible is true, that it's been totally corrupted and only Muhammad knew the truth. What a load of BS. At any time in the Bible does God ever send a prophet that knows an exclusive truth that's hidden from everybody else? Of course not.
