When I was 16, I oftern didnt have the money to go out and get drunk in the pubs.
I would get an empty cup and spend 2 hours going rom classroom to classroom in my school or on the streets, asking random people if they could donate money - so I could build a "spaceship".
The donations usualy came in form of 5-10 cent coins. But enought to get drunk in total.
