My question was is that process limited to what we understand christianity to be?I can think of several righteous men (By God's own standard) who did not go through the rights and rituals of becoming a Christian as we have defined the term. Are these men doomed to Eternal seperation just because they did not chant a given phrase? On the oppsite side of that same coin Christ Himself says Not all who say they are saved are.. Which means the motions we go through are not what saves us. It is Christ that saves, and He alone who makes that desision as to whether or not we are indeed 'Christian.'
Quote:Well then surely the answer to the question "Do you think that only christians go to heaven" is yes, since a christian is someone who accepts Jesus as their saviour, right? Then what of David? what of Moses, Elijah, Aberham, elisha, daniel, Rayhab, Ruth, John the baptist (The most righteous man ever born of woman according to Christ?) None of these people nor the Millions of others the bible may or may not mention who lived before the establishement of Christianity, will God send them to Hell because they were born in a time/place where Christ was not known?? After all How can they be 'Christian' if 'Christianity' was unknown to them? Like wise to everyone else who has lived a life in search of God who has never known Christianity? How does their efforts differ from the acceptable men and women of the OT? Why should their be a division?
Again In the End, Christ alone determines who is and who is not Christian. That what is meant by "No man comes to the Father but by me." Not no man comes to the father but by this particular form of worship.
Christianity is a tool, one that if used properly can make it a whole lot easier to establish a relationship with God. It's like not having a hammer to build a house. it can be done, but the end result may not look very nice. (Not that any of this matters to any of you...) For we are only ever responsiable for what we are given, and as you have been given the gift of the knoweledge of Christianity.. That is the standard in which God will hold you to account. On the flip side because some never knew of Christ their 'christianity' will not be determined on whether or not the said a specific prayer or ever graced a christian church.

Nothing you posted from Job addressed the fairness of God, the topic of the thread by the way.
Allowing someone to severely fuck over your most faithful do-gooder for the sake of a bet is hardly a measure of fairness, regardless if shit was given back.
Only if you do not count the words of Job Himself. He seemed to think that he was being the unreasonable one, because he came to realize that he did not have enough information to judge what or why God did what He did.
