I find it telling that all the Catholics have to say on the subject is, "quit talkin!"
Perhaps you might post proof that she actually did something of humanitarian nature with her money? Just a suggestion.
But then, that would've been your first movement wouldn't it?
If you can't do that, why are you so vehemently defending an embezzling sadist to be one of your 'Saints'? If that's whom you consider to be a Saint--the best you got--then I am not only sickened, I'm angered. Not at her, but at you. How come you'd rather proudly deny truth than admit you were wrong in this case? And you guys wonder why athiests are brash with you?
If the father abandons it, sure. Say some guy unloads during a sexual encounter and never calls her to see if she's pregnant? That's him,
assuming she'd take care of it. The responsibility falls to the woman, so the decisions do as well. Any reasonable human being would say that if the
father doesn't want her to have the abortion then there should be steps he can take to protect it. We aren't monsters. You on the other hand... well, I'll leave that up for debate as to whether or not you can reconcile your conscience with your belief system.

Quote:Do you think it's "equal rights" for a woman to be the sole decider if the embryo is flushed out or not?

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
