The huffingtonpost is not a serious new website.
Its is news-entertainment.
(just like how American wrestling is sports-entertainment, not "sport").
The article you post comes from a section "gay voices".
Another of its headlines is "is this harlem shake video anti-gay?"
Serious news, huh?
I clicked on the authors name and some of her other "serious news" work includes articles called:
" Did Justin Timberlake Respond To Kanye West's 'Suit & Tie' Dig During 'SNL' Gig"
"Lindsay Lohan Offered House Arrest Deal"
Those crazy celebrities, huh? I am glad the serious HuffPo keeps us up to date on them.
Anyway, what does the article say?
It says:
HuffPo Wrote:One of the frontrunners to succeed Pope Benedict XVI has defended anti-gay legislation like Uganda's so-called "Kill the Gays" bill.
Laws "like" the kill the gays bill. So, uh, not the kill the gays bill?
Again it only mentions the "kill the gays" bill, not because Turkson has any connection with it, but to try to smear him by association.
To justify these lies, the author gives the quote where Turkson advises forming an understanding of why gay people face stigmatisation in parts of Africa.
You know, the quote where he doesnt defend any anti-gay laws , only advises trying to understand why people want to introduce them in the first place.
The Huffington Post is drivel for the simple minded. It employs all the usual liberal, "progressive" tactics of lieing about people who have a different point of view. This is what certain people do, when they know they cannot defeat their opponents arguments.
It doesnt report the news, it reports what certain people want to hear. Gay people want to hear that the Catholic Church is bad, so they can feel better about themselves and ignore what it says.
No rational, intelligent person would ever believe that a Cardinal of the Catholic Church was, in 2013, advocating that people should be executed simply for who they are. Respect for all human life is a basic principle of Christianity and Cardinal do not go around openly disagreeing with such.
The existence of articles like this demonstrates either how stupid the Huffpo readership is, or how eager they are to knowingly accept lies about people they already dislike. (probably both).

So, your way of showing that you aren't ironic is to just be outright incorrect?
What is incorrect about my statement above?
Whether you accept them as genuine, or not, there is no denying that my statement about the gospels which you quoted is 100% correct.
