Quote:You don't think the campaign to discredit mother theresa is a direct attack against religion? Whatever.
I think that some do use it as an attack against religion, for obvious reasons. She was the shining example of hers, and professed to be, and advertised herself as such, was Sainted by the Vatican/authority of her religion as a person FOR Sure going to heaven, etc.
That doesn't matter so much though. I don't really care about that. I think it's funny, for sure, but I don't care about those aspects as much as I care about
the poor dimented old lady that was tied to a tree with a chain/rope every day for the rest of her life. Or the sick and dying living in squalid conditions with no medical care for NO FUCKing reason other than they had no where else to go. If you're going to provide a hospice service, and take money for it, best use that money for the hospice service you get me? I'm more concerned with MT's political campaigns and how they affected society. I'm more concerned with where her money went because it's becoming quite obvious, she was a conman anointed by the church. A church I consider to be a cult.
I'm more concerned with her lies and the need for them. Just like I would be for a political figure.
Personally, I don't care if she was Buddah himself (who btw I found some interesting stuff about too but he doesn't have billions of followers, nor are his followers computer accessible).
I want myself and those around me to know the truth, whatever it may be.
I may be biased against Catholicism, but that's for a reason, buddy.

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
