The choice to get inebriated comes with the expectation that you understand that you are responsible for your actions.
Europeans seem to think being compromised is an excuse, at least in their "justice" system.
No one forces you to drive. No one forces you to drink.
Nope! Absolutly not! Sentences are always higher if you commit a crime whilest intoxicated.
The sentences given in Europe are generaly lower and we have a justicesystem built to focus on resocialisation and not on punishment (at least in most EU countries)
