Does it really matter if there's a picture of Jesus on the wall?
-Yes, if our laws matter, it does.-
Who does it really hurt? No one. Absolutely no one.
- You, actually. If the government is willing to violate that law, to be seen endorsing one faith over another you'll have little ground to stand on when the school goes islamic, or satanist, or what have you, in other words..it will have shown that it is willing to violate your rights, to violate it's own laws-
So the why not just take it down? you know...go along to get along.
-Why put it up?-
But why should you have to cave in to some unreasonable bully. Why don't they just go along to get along?
-There is no "going along to get along" here, it is a matter of law, a law that protects you.-
Secularism is about not having religious tests for elected officials nor declaring Methodism the official religion of Illinois, nor taxing people to fund religious causes. This kind of nonsense has nothing to do with being secular. It's just being a busy body and intentionally trying to poke believers in the eye.
-Secularism is the principle of separation of government institutions, and the persons mandated to represent the State, from religious institutions and religious dignitaries. So, it's a bit more than not having tests or taxes-to-fund.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
