How about when God said in the Quran that the Universe is expanding

Laying aside that you won't find any quran that predates the 20th century with this interpretation embedded (iow...the qurans publishers started using the interpretation "expanding" as soon as we knew...but not demonstrably before) what does this tell us? Norse myth states that human beings come from trees - which is suprisingly true in general, but horrendously innaccurate in the particulars (and in the method of aquiring the knowledge - which is important). Many societies that postulated a spherical earth (for example) did not do so based on any observation either. They didn't actually know, it was just woven into their myth structure. In any case, correct me if I;'m wrong, but doesn't the quran also claim that the universe will collapse (in much the same tortured way as the expanding bit)? Further, do you think that any of these conjectures (and many, many more) weren't already being bandied about in the greek and persian world? Again, predictably wrong, predictably right - and often for poor reasons in both cases.

What can't be fabricated? The above bit about our expanding universe clearly and transparently was. Is this (and other things like it) the driving force behind your faith? Would your faith be shaken or abandoned by these sorts of things being demonstrably untrue?

You keep saying this like you're trying to cast a spell. It's no more true now than it was the first time, and repeating it won't alter that.
