It's not something only most theists do. I accept as truth only what can be demonstrated. I accept as plausible ideas which are reasonable extrapolations of demonstrable truth. Everything else fits on a sliding scale from educated guess to hypothesis to naked assumption to fantasy to delusion to outright lies. The logic of theism is in no way compatible with what I just described because the logic you and your fellow Christians use confuses many of those terms, as I understand them. You call truth what registers no better than halfway up my little scale of skepticism, and I can't avoid sounding stuck-up: I demand more from my truth than you do.
