Thoughts beyond the obvious? Whats been done to fairies is what had been done to Lugh. Long after these stories squander their capital with adults we continue to tell them to children. Eventually they seem to become age appropriate. If it's any consolation, the fairy stories I was told had nothing to do with friendly little pixies. I still wont swim in a river...lol. The si are things that catholics feared even when they crossed oceans. They brought them along for the ride.
