It's ball park. The translation to "kill" was a very poor one. Accuracy is key.
More a case of blatant political correctness, Frods. New translations try to slip the word "murder" in there. Older translations, Douay-Rheims, KJV, Darby, Webster, etc use the word "kill."
Apparently, modern translators got sensitive over the fact that religion routinely kills anyone who gets in its way so they pulled a little sleight of hand. Makes no difference to me, of course, I know its horseshit.
