Religion and beliefs about deities are considered holy and therefore are not tested or questioned by their followers.
That is a false assumption. I tested and asked questions, and still do. If God is real He shouldn't be afraid to prove it, and I shouldn't be afraid to look for myself. I found my answer many times over.
